I work as an analyst at Blic’s Brussels office. My responsibilities include monitoring and analyzing EU legislation, producing up-to-date EU situational overviews, and participating in strategic advocacy together with clients and stakeholders. What excites me in my work is proactive engagement in EU decision-making, clarifying complex frameworks, and transforming research- and data-based insights into clear conclusions and practical decisions at the EU level.

I hold a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Turku and am currently writing a doctoral dissertation examining the impact of decision-making legitimacy on citizens’ climate attitudes. My interests include climate and energy policy, EU decision-making, and international relations.

Previously, I worked as an assistant to Member of Parliament Ville Valkonen in the Finnish Parliament, focusing on legislative analysis and stakeholder engagement. I also completed an internship at the Embassy of Finland in Washington, D.C., where I monitored transatlantic energy and climate policy as well as water infrastructure issues.

I identify key developments in EU legislation, structure extensive legislative packages, and assess the functionality, acceptability, and practical impacts of regulation. In my work, I emphasize foresight, clarity and feasibility of regulation, and how research data and impact assessments support effective and purposeful EU regulation.
