Riina Nevamäki

I was a partner at Blic. I am an expert in politics, policy-making and advocacy with extensive social networks. I bring a strategic and timely approach to client work.

Prior to my career at Blic, I worked at Nordea from 2021 to 2023 as Director of Public Affairs, where I was tasked with creating a new strategy and team for long-term advocacy work at both national and EU level. Prior to Nordea, I was a partner in another agency in Helsinki specialising in influencer communications.

Until 2019 I worked in politics, most recently as Head of Cabinet to Prime Minister Juha Sipilä in the Prime Minister's Office from 2015 to 2019. I worked in politics for almost twenty years, including as a special advisor in three different ministries to three different ministers, as State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, and as an EU policy advisor to the Prime Minister. In the 2015 government programme negotiations, I played a key role as the so-called right-hand man of the government shaper Juha Sipilä.

As an eternal optimist and do-gooder, I want to solve problems together with my customers.

I have a high tolerance for pressure and thrive in difficult situations. The motto is the words of Fridtjof Nansen: "The impossible is what takes a little longer".
