Sallamaarit Markkanen

I help our clients understand changes in the political operating environment and build impactful solutions to complex societal issues. In my work, I support clients in designing advocacy strategies and coach them in the practical execution of advocacy efforts.

I joined the Blic team in 2016, and I have extensive experience working at the intersection of politics, public administration, and business. I have implemented advocacy projects across several sectors, particularly in the food, energy, ICT, and grocery retail industries.

Before Blic, I worked in the European Parliament and at the Ministry of Education and Culture. I also have experience in corporate board work. My long background in municipal politics and party activities provides me with a strong understanding of the dynamics of political decision-making.
