Healthcare

Finnish health care sector actors operate in an environment that is both promising and challenging at the same time. A strong healthcare infrastructure combined with advanced technologies and a pool of highly educated healthcare workers create favourable preconditions. The sector is not immune to budgetary concerns, however, and questions on ageing population and availability of workers present problems. Public healthcare is undergoing disruptive reform as the new wellbeing services counties are simultaneously created and subjected to funding cuts. As healthcare sector actors navigate these challenges, they can and should communicate their preferences and impact assessments to decision-makers. This is especially true given the complexity of healthcare sector regulation.
