Lyydia Ylönen to Join Blic as Associate Director in May 2026

We are pleased to warmly welcome Lyydia Ylönen to Blic as an Associate Director. Lyydia will begin in her role on May 20. She brings with her more than eight years of experience in public decision‑making and extensive expertise at the intersection of government administration, Parliament, and the business sector.

“Public affairs consulting offers an excellent opportunity to combine political expertise with the perspectives of the business community. I am excited about the opportunity to support Blic’s clients in their efforts to influence decision‑making and create new business opportunities in a complex and constantly evolving regulatory landscape,” Ylönen says.

Before joining Blic, Ylönen served as Special Adviser to the Minister of the Environment and Climate, responsible for environmental, climate, and biodiversity policy, as well as matters related to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment’s energy department. Previously, she has worked as an environmental policy expert for the Parliamentary Group of the National Coalition Party, and as a Special Adviser at both the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of the Interior. She also has experience in business advocacy at the Finnish Grocery Trade Association and in export roles within the forest industry. Her broad background across different branches of government and the private sector has given her a deep understanding of decision‑making mechanisms and the ability to find practical solutions to complex policy issues.

Blic specializes in assisting clients in influencing legislation and other regulation. Blic’s team consists of a wide range of public affairs professionals with diverse backgrounds—from lawyers and management consultants to experts with political experience.

A warm welcome Lyydia! 🎉
